Wilden Valve Ball 15-1080-58

The Wilden 15-1080-58 valve ball is made of Wil-Flex™ (Santoprene®-based), one of the most popular and versatile check valve materials in air-powered pumps.

Material: Wil-Flex™ (TPE thermoplastic elastomer / Santoprene).

Pump Size: Designed for use in Wilden 3-inch (76 mm) pumps (P15, PV15, PX15, PS15, T15 series).

Ball Diameter: Nominal size for 3-inch models (approximately 58–60 mm depending on wear).

Color Coding: Marked with an Orange Dot.

Temperature Range: -40°C to +107°C.

Advantages and Applications:

Chemical Resistance: Ideal for pumping acids, alkalis, and aggressive chemicals [1].

Abrasion Resistance: Highly resistant to mechanical wear, making it suitable for liquids containing solid particles (slurries, suspended solids) [1].

Durability: Wil-Flex provides excellent shape memory and a tight seal to the valve seat, ensuring reliable suction.

Cost-Efficiency: A more cost-effective yet effective alternative to Teflon (PTFE) balls in applications where chemical compatibility allows the use of an elastomer.

Important: This material is not recommended for use with strong solvents, benzene, or toluene. In such cases, Viton or PTFE should be selected.
